Responsys continues its email reign
Responsys, provider of on-demand email and marketing automation solutions, has been named a Leader in "The Forrester Wave: Email Marketing Service Providers, Q4 2007".
According to the vendor summary, Responsys "repeats its top position in Forrester's email marketing service provider evaluation for the second time in a row" According to Forrester, Responsys has "first-rate functionality" that makes it "one of the strongest performers in our study"

Responsys has partnered with The Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) to offer the world's first qualification in email marketing: The IDM/Responsys Certificate in Email Marketing.
Responsys received the highest score in the technology platform category (4.63/5.00) and was found to be "among the most scalable".
Responsys also received the top score in the customers category (4.60/5.00), a category that focuses on how strong and diverse a vendor's customer base is, and received a perfect score for its strength of employee base (5.00/5.00).
In citing what makes vendors stand out, Forrester noted that "the top providers in the space connect with their clients as marketers and impart analytical and strategic guidance that improves the clients' business".
Responsys also received the top score in Strategy.
In the sub-categories of the Strategy section, Responsys received perfect scores for its executive vision (5.00/5.00) and its product road map (5.00/5.00).
According to the report, "Forrester applauds the vendor's shift (from ESP to on-demand marketing platform), as it mirrors marketer needs".
Responsys also received perfect scores for its breadth of marketing needs supported (5.00/5.00).
