Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Transport and Member for Lewes, Norman Baker MP, will be joining the all-star cast of notables appearing at The Big Three seminar.

The Big Three is the REad Group's seminar exploring the impact of politics, the environment and the consumer factor on the DM industry - being presented at this year's International Direct Marketing Fair (IDMF) from 29 April to 1 May.

A hitherto highly vocal critic of the DM industry (and proud winner in the 'Inquisitor of the Year' category at the 2001 Zurich/Spectator Parliamentarian of the Year Awards), Norman Baker is certain to generate both bouquets and brickbats during his thought provoking seminar at 2.45pm on Tuesday 29 April entitled "Perspectives on Direct Marketing and Packaging".

He joins fellow parliamentarian Paddy Tipping (MP for Sherwood and the Chair of the All Parliamentary Group on Junk Mail), the Green Alliance's Julie Hill MBE, comedienne/columnist/self-proclaimed 'angry consumer' Natalie Haynes, BBC Technology journalist Bill Thompson and The REaD Group's own intrepid eco-adventurers Martin King and Richard Anderson at The Big Three's free series of presentations and panel sessions.

Mark Roy, The REaD Group CEO, is thrilled that Baker has agreed to appear at The Big Three: "We always welcome the input and expertise of Members of Parliament at peak industry events such like this, so Mr Baker's participation presents a wonderful opportunity for marketers to hear first-hand his thoughts on an array of topical issues".
