REaD makes suppression service available online
Data management company The REaD Group has enhanced its market-leading consumer suppression services by making them available online.
Xpression is the only suppression solution available that can be fully tailored to meet the needs of the user as it contains selectable data sets.
Clients can choose between assumed postal returns or non-assumed notifications to clean their data, depending on whether they are targeting loyal customers or new prospects.
The file offers access to a combination of 8.5 million records and is updated quarterly with 2 million files.
Created by the DMA, Xpression underpins the values and standards extolled by this champion of industry best practice.
Providing a comprehensive solution to combat the problems of data decay and ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Mark Roy, Chief Executive of The REaD Group, commented: "The UK population changes by up to 11 per cent each year - data therefore decays exceptionally quickly.
"As a result it is essential for organisations to adopt a best practice approach to data cleansing by checking the accuracy of their data on a regular basis.
"Those that don't will inevitably see a drop in response rates and this has severe implications for brand reputation, marketing budget and the environment.
"The original National Suppression File was created in 2000 to give access to a choice of multiple data sources for data screening within a single file.
"We have worked closely with the DMA to develop and enhance the file; the result is Xpression, the only file around that provides such a flexible suppression solution.".
