Huddersfield Town adopts voice broadcasting

A Relay Station product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Dec 2, 2009

Relay Station has announced that Huddersfield Town Football Club has adopted its voice broadcasting services to send personalised messages from the manager to thousands of fans simultaneously.

In its recent 'Fiver a Friend' campaign, the voice of Lee Clark, the club's manager, was used to broadcast a message to the mobiles and landlines of opt-in season ticket holders, encouraging them to bring along friends for GBP5 to help fill the stadium and create a great atmosphere.

The broadcast was timed ahead of the club's match against Wycombe Wanderers, which was dedicated to the Help for Heroes charity.
