Corgi Premiums and Disney have teamed up to offer a branded replica of a classic London bus as part of the promotional campaign for 'Mary Poppins - The Musical'.

This follows the launch of Corgi Premiums' dedicated consultancy service for brands and consultancies that want to source high-quality bespoke diecast toys and models for use as consumer incentives, loyalty-building collectibles and nostalgia-based promotional gifts.

As part of Disney's campaign for 'Mary Poppins - The Musical', Corgi Premiums will produce an exclusive 1:64th scale promotional toy based on an authentic replica of the London Routemaster bus.

It will be branded with imagery showing Mary Poppins and her flying umbrella, set against the distinctive London skyline.

Mark Johnson of Walt Disney Theatrical Productions said a Corgi model of the Routemaster bus is an ideal vehicle for capturing the London setting of the musical.

He added that Corgi Premiums' one-stop consultancy service allowed Walt Disney Theatrical Productions to use Corgi's in-house design and product development experience to produce a 'Mary Poppins'-branded model to exact specifications.

Ricki Curtis, who heads Corgi Premiums, said: 'The "Mary Poppins" bus carries the same kind of full wrap branding that is often used on real London buses to promote major films or West End shows.

'In effect, the model is both an incentive and an alternative advertising medium for Disney's marketing imagery for "Mary Poppins - The Musical".

'It's a way of projecting the "Mary Poppins" brand in a memorable and collectable physical form that can be put directly into consumers' hands.
