Promotional and licensed costume characters provider Rainbow Productions recently presented a Charlie and Lola Puppet Show Tour.

This live puppet show centred around the award-winning television series by Tiger Aspect Productions and presented by BBC Worldwide - an episode called 'I will not ever, NEVER eat a tomato'.

The series follows four-year-old Lola and her seven-year-old brother Charlie and is based on the critically acclaimed books by Lauren Child.

The BBC commissioned Rainbow Productions to present the charming puppet show to help further raise awareness of this television show.

The traditional form of puppetry used in the tour shows the puppets being controlled by three visible puppeteers.

Fans of BBC TV show Charlie and Lola had the opportunity to see a Bunraku style rod-puppet presentation, which took place at several UK shopping centres.

The tour began at The Harlequin shopping centre in Watford on 22 September and finished at Westfield Merry Hill in Dudley on 27 October.

Other shopping centres who played host to the puppet show included the Lakeside shopping centre, Bluewater, The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, Basingstoke's Festival Place shopping centre, thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes and Westfield's Royal Victoria shopping centre in Tunbridge Wells.

The puppet show ran five times daily.
