Pureprint wins Queen's Award for Enterprise
Pureprint Group has been awarded The Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development category, for its ground breaking pureprint environmental printing system.
The Queen's Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious corporate accolade that a UK business can win.
Mark Handford, Chief Executive of Pureprint Group, said: "We are very proud to receive The Queen's Award; not only is it testimony to the commitment and hard work of all our staff in ensuring that the group behaves responsibly and leads the way in sustainable printing, but I also hope that it will encourage other companies to invest in sustainable development as I am sure this will be crucial for business success in the future".
Richard Osborne, Managing Director of Pureprint Group, commented: "This is the second time we have received The Queen's Award for Sustainable Development.
"Since our first award in 2003 the business has trebled in size and we are now able to offer the highest standards of environmental printing not as a niche product but as a mainstream, affordable business choice.
"The biggest corporate marketing and reporting campaigns can now be produced on budget and with significantly reduced environmental impact".
The Queen's Awards Office released the following summary of Pureprint Group's achievements: "Pureprint Group Limited receives the Award for its excellent approach to continuous achievement in delivering exemplary sustainable management.
"The company is leading the industry in promoting sustainable printing and reducing environmental impact in all areas of the printing process, reducing energy and carbon consumption, minimising use of harmful chemicals, sourcing paper from sustainable forests and operating a high level of production waste recycling.
"Particularly commendable are the ways in which it has demonstrated strong links between environmental sustainability and the marketability and financial success of the product.
"The Pureprint Group has shown innovation and commitment to all areas of sustainability in terms of its own business activity as well as proactively engaging stakeholders to promote sustainability throughout the supply chain and providing a laudable example for the industry".
