Purple and Academy Class to hold networking events

A Purple Consultancy product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Feb 11, 2009

Purple Consultancy, a UK-based creative recruitment consultancy, is forming a partnership with Academy Class, a digital media training centre, to co-ordinate a series of monthly networking events

The events around the UK will provide software and web technology training, as well as useful forums for people working in the sector to meet at and exchange ideas.

These events will supplement Academy Class's comprehensive range of courses and seminars, which are already available.

They will be different, however, in that they will be free for approximately 50 delegates at a time and will benefit a broader candidate and agency market.

Toby Thwaites, founder and director at Purple, said: 'We've raised the issue of the lack of technical training available for the creative industries in the past and we're now very pleased to be proactively involved with offering a solution to the problem.

Mark Young, director of Academy Class, said: 'The format for our programme of events with Purple will be a very informal one and this, we believe, will encourage those attending to make new contacts at the same time as learning about the software packages for web technology and creative design technology, which are coming onto the market.

Academy Class is authorised in Adobe, Autodesk and Apple, while Purple provides recruitment services to many of the UK creative sector's agencies.
