Premier joins the Corporate Responsibility Group
The Premier Paper Group, one of the UK's leading providers of environmentally responsible paper products, is the second paper merchant to join the Corporate Responsibility Group.
Consisting of nearly 100 of the UK's leading companies including Marks and Spencer and Tesco, the Corporate Responsibility Group brings together people from a range of business sectors committed to adopting a social, ethical and environmentally responsible approach to business practice.
Represented by Alan Venn, Director, and Paddy Byrne, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, the membership strengthens Premier's commitment to corporate responsibility in every aspect of its business, particularly the environment.
Premier will be able to share experiences, develop strategic thinking and introduce new initiatives to improve its business operations to the benefit of customers, employees, local communities and most importantly the environment.
Paddy Byrne, Premier's CSR Manager said: "We are delighted to be accepted as a member of the exclusive Corporate Responsibility Group; we are looking forward to sharing our ideas and learning how other companies within the group are developing their corporate responsibility initiatives".
The new membership reaffirms Premier's commitment to integrating environmental management into its entire range of business activities.
Premier was the first merchant to gain ISO 14001 certification and has successfully achieved FSC and PEFC status.
The company is also working towards minimising its carbon footprint.
