PR courses build brand awareness during crunch

A The PR Training Centre product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Jan 21, 2009

PR training courses can help organisations save money on marketing at low cost to beat the credit crunch, according to the PR Training Centre (PRTC).

Jacqui Green, principal presenter at the PRTC, said: 'One-day PR training workshops are designed to be a cost-effective way of dealing with adverse market conditions, when sales slow down.

'Advertising is expensive, and price-cutting product promotions can damage revenue.

'But PR is the lowest-cost way to build brand awareness and extend market penetration of products and services.

The PRTC's next PR Skills Workshop is set to be held in Covent Garden, London, on 2 February.

The full range of courses will be run throughout 2009, including PR Skills Workshop, Digital PR Skills Workshop, Advanced PR Skills, and Web Marketing Skills, as well as half-day courses in Blogging, Creative Writing for PR, and E-mail Marketing.
