Which product has the best packaging?

A Pro Carton product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Apr 30, 2008

Take part in the competition for the 12th International Pro Carton/ECMA Award.

Packaging is brand.

Packaging is part of raising awareness for brands and products - and of selling them.

In acknowledgement of the outstanding examples of fascinating cartonboard packaging, the Pro Carton/ECMA Carton Award will be run for the 12th time this year.

Participation forms are now available from www.procarton.com.

Applications are accepted in eight categories: beverages, confectionery, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, shelf-ready and display packaging, food and non-food.

The jury will also award three additional prizes for the Carton of the Year, the Most Innovative Design and an award for the entry that illustrates the Sustainability of cartons and cartonboard most effectively.

The entry deadline is 13 June 2008.

All members of Pro Carton and ECMA are invited to enter these awards.

What is important, however, is that the cartons entering the competition were designed and produced for the market, either in 2006, 2007, or 2008.

Special designs for the competition are not accepted.

The winners will be announced at this year's Pro Carton Annual General Meeting in Marseille, France, in September.

As in the previous years, this occasion will show how innovation, product and consumer-oriented design, technical skills and extraordinary creativity drive the packaging industry.

The winners can be certain to receive great national and international media attention.

Pro Carton, the International Association of Cartonboard and Carton Manufacturers, and ECMA, the European Carton Makers Association, have organised the Award since 1997, and its popularity is growing.

An increasing number of creative businesses are entering the competition for the sought-after award, as it gives evidence to the winner's creativity and product and consumer-driven design.

Something that is obtained when all the companies involved in the packaging supply chain work closely together.
