PRG lights sky for Liverpool's 800th birthday
To celebrate 800 years to the day since King John signed the charter that created the city of Liverpool, the city arranged some pretty serious events for Tuesday 28 August.
Thousands of people gathered in Trafalgar Square to see a celebration of cycling, London and youth activity alongside the Tour de France cyclist presentations, interviews and protocol.
There were also live music performances and choreographed dance segments.
The luminaires were rigged on Tuesday 3 July in anticipation of the celebration, and the only challenge the crew faced was the torrential rain through the week.
Everything was kept under cover or in hoods, so there was no danger of anything (apart from the crew) getting wet.
The lighting director was Paul Cook, and crew chief Martin Scott, while project manager for PRG Europe was Loz Wilcox.
