RBI, which publishes 100 titles including Travel Weekly to Caterer and Hotelkeeper, is the B2B division of Reed Elsevier.
Pod1 was appointed to supply all design and front-end for the site because of its design skills and credibility with design-led brands.
Pod1 also worked alongside an in-house team on technical development and information architecture.
Jayne Lewis-Orr, HJi editor-in-chief, said: "We're in a highly visual market where style and image is everything and the design of the site is of paramount importance.
