Mailroom in Action event announced by Pitney Bowes

Pitney Bowes has put together a fully operational mailroom in London that will run live demonstrations of all the mail creation and finishing kit needed in a marketing communications mailroom.

The free 'Mailroom in Action' event is set to take place on 22 May 2009 at the city branch of the Institute of Directors on New Broad Street, London.

The event will also feature seminars on issues relevant to businesses in the current economic climate from industry partners the Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) and Royal Mail.

Joanna Reynolds, an honorary fellow of the IDM, will speak on delivering more effective direct mail, including how it can support other channels, such as online.

Paul McKeever, media consultant at Royal Mail, will deliver a talk on postal issues facing firms today, including how to minimise postal costs.

The event will also include a lunchtime seminar by Colin Forrest, national solutions manager at Pitney Bowes, who will present on 'Transpromotional Mail: Bringing Statements to Life'.
