Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software's Customer Data Quality Platform 5.0 enables more effective decision making, stronger relationships and increased revenue.

Group 1 Software, a Pitney Bowes company, is releasing the new Customer Data Quality (CDQ) Platform in the UK.

The technology allows for more effective decision making, stronger customer relationships, and increased revenue based on a single, enterprise-wide view of customer information.

In a typical enterprise business, customer data is fragmented across multiple systems and departments.

Group 1 Software's CDQ Platform 5.0 provides a robust and modular solution for collecting, cleansing, appending, distributing and reporting on customer information from across the enterprise.

The Customer Data Quality Platform is the key to unlocking customer data for revenue generation and growth.

Built on a robust service-oriented architecture (SOA) framework, Group 1 Software's CDQ Platform was included by Gartner in the recently published "Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools, 2007(1)".

The CDQ Platform offers built-in understanding to resolve both syntactic and semantic ambiguities and inconsistencies with global name recognition and advanced entity resolution, coupled with best-of-breed global address data quality and industry-leading geocoding components.

"Pitney Bowes' business empowers clients as they use technology to send the right message to the right customer at the right time," said Murray Martin, president and CEO of Pitney Bowes.

"A single, complete and accurate view of customer data is the critical foundation for customer communications.

"Pitney Bowes is committed to the continued development of Group 1 Software's CDQ Platform as an essential component of our overall customer communications management strategy".

The CDQ Platform leverages an extensive knowledge base and allows analysts to easily create custom business rules as new composite services that can be published and extended to the enterprise, enabling companies to unify customer account data, eliminate redundancies, link members of the same household, and expand customer knowledge.

"Pitney Bowes' data quality business has more than doubled in the past year, as organisations across multiple industries - including insurance, financial services, government, publishing and more - have recognised the importance of enterprise-wide data quality for enabling more informed decisions," added Martin.

Information Arts, specialist B2B marketing services provider, is one of the first in the UK to adopt the new technology.

Jon Pope, Chief Operating Officer at Information Arts, commented: "Data quality is very important to Information Arts - it underpins everything we do to support our customers.

"Group 1 technology supports our central data processing environment and they are a key partner in ensuring that we consistently reach the high standards of quality to which we aspire".
