PDV launches mobile phone lead prescreening
PDV has launched mobile phone lead prescreening to ensure each number it delivers is live, is on a phone network, has been switched on within 24 hours and is not connected to a data device.
The screening service is also available for companies to use on their own mobile phone number database and on mobile phone number lists sourced from suppliers who do not prescreen.
PDV claimed its ability to check for data devices can save companies with automatic diallers thousands of wasted call and operator minutes each month.
Bill Burey, managing director of PDV, said: 'If a call centre's automatic dialler calls a data device such as a fax, modem or computer, it ties up the line for one or two minutes.
'However, the typical dialler will be on a 10-time-retry profile, so 1,000 connections to data devices in a month would cause around 20,000 wasted calling minutes.
'This has caused call centres major problems.
The PDV Mobile Clean software, which is now added as a default to all its mobile leads, can also be bought as a service, costed on a decreasing cost per 1,000 numbers checked basis.
