A Payment Card Solutions (UK) product story

Unlike conventional credit cards or debit cards, the Bread Card is a 'pay-as-you-go' card that users load with cash.

The Bread Card is a new breed of payment card.

Unlike conventional credit cards, which provide you with a line of credit, or debit cards that are linked to a bank account with an overdraft facility, the Bread Card is a 'pay-as-you-go' card that you load with cash.

When applying for a Bread Card there are also no credit checks.

The Bread Card is safer than carrying cash and you can use it to shop online, in-store or over the phone.

The card costs GBP10; there is no monthly fee and no charge when you use it - though there is a charge of GBP1.50 for cash machines.

The card can be loaded with cash at any PayPoint outlet (there are over 16,000 PayPoint locations across the UK and there is a flat fee of GBP1 each time you load up your card).

Loading via bank transfer/BACS/ wages transfer costs 0.25p per transaction.

There is also a flat rate charge of GBP1.50 to share money from a primary Bread Card to a secondary card, which means that Bread is a very cost-effective method of sending money to friends and family both home and abroad.

Other fees, terms and conditions apply.
