Nomensa launches accessible SoundTalking website

A Nomensa product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Jan 31, 2008

SoundTalking, the marketing and recording division of the charity Talking Newspaper Association UK, has launched its Triple-A website, designed and developed by Nomensa.

SoundTalking is a specialist in transcribing the printed word into alternative formats, engaging people who may otherwise be unable to read print, putting millions of people in touch with information that fully sighted people take for granted.

The new website is managed through Nomensa's fully accessible content management system, Defacto, allowing all members of the SoundTalking team to update and maintain their website regardless of ability.

Irwin Bray, chief executive of SoundTalking, commented: "We are very proud of this development in our quest to make what we do for the visually impaired more accessible and with Nomensa's help that journey is well under way".

A Nomensa website not only provides SoundTalking with an accessible website for its users, but also a usable environment that supports users with intuitive customer journeys.

Leonie Watson, head of accessibility at Nomensa, said: "SoundTalking has long been established as a leading supplier of accessible information; the launch of this new fully accessible website now ensures that accessing that information has never been easier.

"The warmth of a welcoming user experience is an absolute delight and is welcome indeed".
