Nomad unveils Cortex V3.0 at User Group

The Cortex division of Nomad launched Version 3.0 of its acclaimed Cortex payments processing software at a recent User Group Conference held in Athens.
The new 64-bit release provides compliance for PCI-DSS (The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, a world-wide benchmark mandated by the card schemes for the protection of cardholder identity and transaction information) This compliance was described by John Yeomans, chief executive of Nomad, as "a fillip for the product and a good example of the continuing investment in, and development of, the Cortex product"

Nomad's User Group Conference was attended by more than 40 of Nomad's customers from the banking industry and was held in conjunction with the company's local partner in Athens, Intracom IT Services (www.intracom.gr
As part of the event, attendees also heard presentations from selected industry partners, including HP, presenting a paper on its Itanium-based Integrity Servers, which are now a supported platform for Cortex V3.0.
Martin Golding, chief operating officer for Nomad Cortex, had this to say of the conference: "The two-day event has been a great success with much positive feedback from the delegates.
"The general feeling was that the presentations gave those who attended a huge amount of valuable industry information and the chance to share knowledge and experience with their counterparts was greatly appreciated, as was the excellent location of Athens".
The next User Group Conference is planned for May 2008.
