ModernSelling.com offers sales jobs and news
ModernSelling.com is a daily updated business information website offering news and business intelligence designed to enhance the working lives of sales directors, managers and their teams.
ModernSelling.com features news, business intelligence and a library of authoritative management and sales-related articles written by leading experts in their field.
The site also provides a sales jobs feed with thousands of daily updated sales and sales management vacancies available on site at any one time.
The site is entirely free to use - even access to the premium content areas is free for a limited period.
Special premium content features include a dedicated sales advice facility provided by our leading panel of experts, access to an archive of thousands of helpful sales-related news stories and articles, and bulletin boards.
Commenting on the new site, Publisher Neil Warren said: "We decided the time had come to provide Britain's sales community with the quality business information they deserve.
"Sales directors, sales managers and sales executives will all find something useful at www.ModernSelling.com; our aim is to make their working lives a whole lot easier".
Editor Nick de Cent said: "Sales and selling is at last being recognised as one of the leading professions, if not the leading profession, within the business community.
"While there are literally thousands of sales-related websites run by suppliers to the profession, until now there has been nowhere for sales professionals to find quality, independent and authoritative information written by leading business journalists.
"Our sales advice facility and weekly sales tips are just two examples of the quality services we provide.
"We also offer advice on sales careers and sales jobs as well as well-researched information on a whole range of issues like sales training".
Warren, who has been researching the sales profession for the last 20 years via Sales Direction magazine and the Sales Direction Database, reinforced the scope of the project: "The sales profession is the biggest single professional grouping in the UK and yet ModernSelling.com is unique in offering a service that covers the whole range of issues relevant to a successful modern sales environment.
"We already have an unrivalled Directory of Sales Team Suppliers, representing a distillation of 20 years' in-depth research.
"It includes hundreds of carefully researched companies: whatever sales people need, from a suit (and optional tie) to a car, a BlackBerry to a CRM system, or a sales training course to an airline ticket - they can find it here".
De Cent noted that selling in today's, fast-paced hi-tech world takes in a whole array of rapidly evolving sales tools and selling skills: "The world of professional selling covers everything from sales presentations and negotiating skills through to contact management, which has now evolved into the CRM systems that make an enterprise-wide impact".
Editorial coverage of this one area alone will include a vast range of topics from automating and monitoring sales force operations in the field - SFA or Sales Force Automation - through to telephone-based and call-centre systems, processes, enterprise links and the training necessary to implement all of that.
He added: "You really have to admire sales managers in today's enterprise; they have to understand a complex set of products and support services while also deploying the complete spectrum of management and people skills necessary to running a successful sales team within a modern business environment.
"Sales management within the 21st century enterprise now requires skill sets that span huge areas of further responsibility like sales motivation, sales incentives, corporate hospitality, travel management, export sales expertise and more.
"That's why we offer independent and authoritative expert sales advice and sales management advice".
