Get round Google keywords ban with SEO
UK businesses that find themselves hit by a new keywords ban on Google AdWords should use SEO to maintain website traffic levels.
In the last few weeks, the search giant has prevented pay per click adverts from showing against a number of words it considers unethical, including "gambling" and the names of spirits such as "vodka" Mark Furber, the founder of GBP2 million turnover search engine optimisation company NetCallidus, believes the only way round the ban is to target natural search results

Slow websites could get bigger Google ad bill
Businesses running bloated websites full of slow-loading graphics and animations need to speed their sites up now - or watch their Google advertising bill rise.
He said: "Some people are very unhappy with Google forcing its ethics on the UK like this.
"Just because a few Americans have a problem showing adverts next to the word "vodka" will affect hundreds of UK businesses.
"It's unlikely Google will reverse this decision, so the only way for affected businesses to ensure they don't lose market share is to put in place a search engine optimisation campaign to get natural search results".
Furber has been a professional search engine optimiser for 11 years.
He added: "Good SEO is not a quick process - depending on the keywords it can take several months - but it is a long-term investment in the performance of a website.
"When you switch off pay per click adverts, the benefit disappears immediately; when you switch off an SEO campaign, it continues to drive traffic.
"For businesses that rely on Google traffic and have seen it snatched away, SEO is the only way to protect future internet sales".
