Net Benefit has announced that it is adding a virtual firewall service to its existing range of dedicated and shared firewall services.

Supporting up to 10,000 user sessions and with a throughput of 35Mbit/s, the virtual firewall is said to complement Net Benefit's existing range of Fortinet firewalls.

Configured to ensure high availability, the virtual firewall offers many of the features available with a Net Benefit dedicated firewall at a more cost-effective price.

In addition to blocking unauthorised access to a customer's hosted servers, the virtual firewall also includes virtual private network (VPN) support to help businesses of all sizes meet their security challenges.

Based on Fortinet's portfolio of Fortigate technology, Net Benefit's firewall range is said to cater for all business requirements from the simplest website through to complex online applications for the enterprise.
