Native Instinct, the specialist PR division of B2B marketing agency Native, has been shortlisted in the business and trade category of the CIPR North West's coveted PRide Awards.

Recognised for the 'Sound of Silence' campaign delivered on behalf of construction client CMS Acoustics, Native Instinct has fought off strong competition from 1,455 other entries to make it to the final shortlist.

Commenting on getting over the first hurdle, Louise Matthews, senior consultant, Native Instinct, said: "The CMS Acoustics campaign has been all about PR making a positive impact on the bottom line as well as industry profile.

"We've consistently secured high-profile coverage and a regular stream of sales leads for the client - winning a CIPR award would be the icing on the cake".

Key success factors of the CMS Acoustics campaign include delivering return on investment of 11:1, generating an average of 93 sales leads through trade press a month and increasing web traffic by 250 per cent.

Colin Farrington, CIPR Director General and Chairman of the Judges, concluded: "To reach the PRide Awards short list is a remarkable achievement as year on year the quantity and quality of entries increases and competition gets stronger.

"The finalists are testament to the good PR work going on outside of London and across sectors - they should feel proud of their and their chosen profession's invaluable contribution to business and society".

Winners will be announced at the CIPR North West awards dinner, which will be held on Wednesday 28 November 2007, at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate.

Native has been recognised for its commitment to getting the best out of its people, after receiving the Award for Best Marketing Team Development Strategy at the Chartered Institute of Marketing sponsored 2007 SWOT Awards.
