3M launches 3800 lumen DLP projector

3M has added a new DLP projector to its existing range of high lumen digital projectors that are fully compatible with both 3M Vikuiti Rear Projection displays and 3M Digital Signage software.

The DX70 high lumen DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector is specifically designed for the digital signage market.

This high brightness projector is rated at 3800 ANSI lumens and is ideal for Vikuiti Rear Projection displays up to 60-inches diagonal and comes with a three-year (or 4,000 hours) standard warranty.

"Our new DX70 projector is perfectly suited to digital signage installations where a display may be required to run all day, such as reception areas and canteens in businesses, schools and hospitals, as well as shop windows and airport displays," said Paul Gardner, Business Development Manager, 3M Visual Systems.

"The product complements and strengthens our existing portfolio, at the same time widening our reach to capture those customers requiring DLP technology over LCD".

3M's DX70 uses XGA DarkChip3 DLP technology from Texas Instruments to deliver excellent image quality.

The DLP technology does not use polarisation and therefore generates a much 'whiter' image than previous LCD-based projectors when used with Vikuiti Rear Projection film.

In addition, the absence of any filters means that operating costs and maintenance requirements are reduced.
