Magnet Global Network, the independent network of advertising agencies, has added three new firms to its roster of members.

The new members announced by Magnet Executive Director Cheri Gmiter are: drake cooper from Boise, Idaho; LBC Advertising in Santa Monica, Calif.; and Martino and Binzer from Avon, Conn.

Celebrating 30 years in business, drake cooper, formerly es/drake, is a recognised creative power house in the Northwest.

Led by President Bill Drake and CEO Jamie Cooper, the firm has experienced significant growth in recent years offering advertising, design, public relations and web marketing.

Clients include Idaho Tourism, Dell, Sun Valley Resort, CBH Homes and the Idaho Lottery, a client for more than 17 years.

LBC Advertising is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

The firm is highly regarded for its capabilities in retail advertising, with a significant category expertise in home furnishings.

The agency, founded by Lance Hanish, has billings of nearly $50 million, and works with clients such as Robb and Stucky, RC Willey, a division of Berkshire Hathaway, Saddleback of San Diego and Ashley Furniture, the number one home furniture brand in the US.

Martino and Binzer was founded in 1980 and purchased in 1995 by David Martino and Gavin Binzer.

MandB is one of the top 50 business-to-business advertising agencies in the country, according to B2B Magazine.

With more than 20 employees and billings of $18 million, their client list of two dozen companies includes Loctite, ASSA ABLOY, biolitec, Ceramoptec, American HealthTech, Z-medica and others.

Why join a network? "There's so much to be gained by sharing knowledge and collaborating with other agencies facing the same challenges we do, and think this is a good way to expand our horizons across the board," said Lance Hanish of LBC Advertising.

"Our firm looked at this opportunity strategically and we believe the network provides great potential for new business development, so we're delighted to be part of the organisation".

"We see strengths within the network that could help us and we bring strengths that can assist others in doing the same," added Dave Martino of Martino/ Binzer.

Jamie Cooper of drake cooper agreed with his new colleagues: "We looked at the various independent networks of ad agencies out there, and believe Magnet is the best fit for us.

"We like the openness and the collegiality of the members.

"We're looking forward to participating and believe it will be a great asset to us as we grow our business".

The Magnet Global Network is a membership-based organisation comprising some 35 non-competing, like-minded, independently owned advertising agencies in major markets around the world.

With individual annual billings of $8 million to more than $200 million US, Magnet agencies work with some 800 consumer, retail, business-to-business and industrial clients worldwide, with total annual billings of more than $1.6 billion US.

For 62 years, the network has cultivated an atmosphere of trust and respect, allowing members to share resources and experiences to enhance their abilities to compete, serve clients and to grow and raise the standards of work and service in the agency business.

Only after the closest scrutiny of credentials are agencies offered the opportunity to join the Magnet Network.
