3M selects Marketworks as e-commerce
provider

Marketworks is to deliver a fully managed and outsourced e-commerce solution for a selected range of 3M's household and business products.

Marketworks has developed a multi-channel online solution that integrates marketing and sales through 3M online shops, major online marketplaces including Amazon and eBay, Google and affiliate sites It will be working with logistics and fulfilment partner Royal Mail

The 3M UK Consumer and Office Division has selected Marketworks' fully outsourced, end-to-end Managed eCommerce Solution, which includes technology and marketing, and customer care and logistics.

A key benefit is that all operational, technical and fulfilment functions are centrally managed by Marketworks.

Ian Masters, 3M e-Business Development Manager, said: "We selected Marketworks to establish our online business because of its unique ability to meet our needs for an end-to-end solution, strategic advice, best of class technology, and an integrated customer care operation.

"3M is known for its innovative products, including Scotch tape and Post-it Notes, and you can now go online to buy a selected range of consumer products that are new to market or sometimes difficult to find in established retailers or distributors.

"In addition we will be using our online channel to offer great deals on end-of-line products and excess promotional stocks".

3M's new online channel not only offers access to new markets and opportunities for maximising product life-cycle; it is also integral to providing greater support to its existing reseller channels.
