BSkyB (Sky) has launched Store and Share, a secure online location to safely upload and store documents, music, videos and photos.

Available to all visitors to Sky.com as well as Sky Broadband customers, Store and Share is available in three different packages, based on storage size and automatic back-up options MPP Global has been selected to power the registration, account management, upgrade and recurring payment elements of the service

The Store and Share product aims to help people organise and store copies of their files securely online and can be accessed from any computer with internet access.

The service also offers extra protection against the loss of important files due to computer crashes, viruses, theft or accidental deletion.

The application also allows users to share files securely with friends and family.

'Starter' is completely free to any visitor to Sky.com and includes 1GB storage.

'Standard' offers 10GB storage and includes automated backups with Backup Manager for GBP2.50 a month.

And the 'Premium' pack offers 60GB online storage for GBP4.50 a month and also includes automated backups with Backup Manager.

MPP's solution provides secure payments, including eWallet functionality and recurring payments.

With MPP's technology in place, users are only required to input their credit or debit card details once and payments are taken automatically on a monthly basis.

Integration into the core Sky service was crucial to ensure a seamless end-user experience, while a sophisticated upgrade and downgrade engine with pro-rated payments enables users to self-manage their account.

Sandy Winarko, Senior Product Manager at BSkyB, said: "The choice to go with MPP was very easy due to the existing success working on the Sky Anytime project.

"The payment platform gives users a simple yet effective way of paying for the Store and Share service".

Paul Johnson, CEO of MPP Global Solutions, said: "We're extremely pleased to be working with Sky on another exciting project and pleased that we are again relied upon to provide secure payments to this important facet of the Sky platform".
