Monitis has announced the launch of Website Instant Check, a free service that enables companies to check website response times from different locations.
The website check tool allows IT managers and system administrators to check the availability of their websites and webpage load speeds from multiple locations worldwide outside of their server's network.
Website Instant Check sends an http request to the provided URL every 60 seconds from multiple checkpoints around the world.
It checks time to first byte (TTFB), which is the amount of time it takes to deliver the first byte of the requested page to the browser.
TTFB represents the confirmation that a website it responding.
The website check tool then checks the full content load speed and completes the analysis by measuring the DNS resolution time, which measures the translation speed of a domain name into an IP address.
The tool can also be embedded as a widget in user websites and blogs.
