28 February 2011 - Merchandisers at retail marketing agency Momentum Instore have achieved the Food Hygiene Certificate 2.

As a company, Momentum Instore deals with all aspects of food hygiene within the retail sector, and supporting its merchandisers in achieving the Food Hygiene 2 certificate will enable it to enhance its food safety management skills.

The course has reinforced the knowledge that Momentum Instore's merchandisers have of the chemicals they use and the consequences of using them, and the risk of contamination and biological hazards caused by not adhering to food hygiene guidelines.

Time and temperature controls, use by and best before dates were also covered on the course.

8 February 2011 - Momentum Instore has launched its new-look website, which provides in-depth information about the company and its key areas: installation, merchandising and field marketing.

The site features case studies about projects that have been undertaken for clients across myriad retail environments.

A Twitter feed and news section have been included to keep visitors up-to-date with developments both at Momentum Instore and within the point-of-purchase industry.

14 January 2011 - Momentum Instore has unveiled its marketing plan for 2011, with the intention of maximising business opportunities created by a focus on POP and merchandising among retailers.

The company is to be the corporate sponsor of the POPAI Awards 2011.

In addition, the agency is working on a new design for its website in order to refresh its brand for the coming year.

The new site is designed to help increase awareness of the Momentum Instore name and brand values and give it a competitive edge.

25 October 2010 - Momentum Instore has won silver and bronze in the 'Installation' category at the POPAI Awards 2010 ceremony in London.

The company was awarded the silver for its National Lottery Playstation project, which saw the agency install a total of 33,000 Playstations over a 14-week period across Camelot's network of 28,500 retailers as part of the lottery operator's plans to deliver the next stage of the National Lottery sales growth and returns to the good causes.

The bronze award went to its sales-based ordering for cosmetics display installation for Tesco, involving 432 bespoke installations.

Momentum Instore installed a total of 7,700 new self-selection cosmetics units and components during the course of the project.

21 July 2010 - Momentum Instore has appointed Jane Margetts to the role of marketing manager.

Margetts will be responsible for devising and implementing all strategic marketing activity for Momentum Instore.

She joins the company from Shoppertainment, where she worked with a range of clients in her position as senior account manager.

Prior to this, she was a senior regional marketing executive at property company Modus.

1 July 2010 - Momentum Instore has been shortlisted for two awards in the 2010 POPAI Awards.

The company has been shortlisted in the installation category for its National Lottery Playstation installation project and a continual cosmetics replenishment campaign for Tesco.

In 2009, Momentum Instore won the gold award in the installation category for its work on the Boots flagship store's beauty rebalance.

It also received a silver award in the same category for its bathroom refits for Focus DIY.

13 May 2010 - Momentum Instore has appointed a new business manager and an account development manager to continue to drive forward its business growth strategies.

Tim Ellis has been appointed as new business manager and his duties will include generating and developing new business leads, managing pitches, liaising with account management teams and monitoring industry developments and trends.

Darren Coates joins Momentum Instore as account development manager, who will be responsible for managing and developing accounts within the DIY sector, working to strengthen service delivery and seeking out new opportunities for clients by tracking industry and consumer trends.

12 April 2010 - Momentum Instore has achieved Safecontractor accreditation, a programme that recognises high standards of health and safety practice among UK contractors and service providers.

Under the Safecontractor system businesses undergo a rigorous vetting process, which examines health and safety procedures and tracks their safe practice record.

30 March 2010 - Momentum Instore is creating three new roles as part of its client relationship management strategy.

The company has appointed Amy Morley to the position of client relationship director, and is also seeking a new business manager and a DIY account development director.

Morley will be working on building and developing current and potential client relationships across the installation, merchandising and field marketing business.

3 March 2010 - Momentum Instore has announced that it will be the official corporate sponsor of the POPAI awards in both 2010 and 2011.

This will be the third year running that the company has supported the event.

The awards recognise excellence in the point-of-purchase market and acknowledge high standards of design and manufacture.
