Modera to manage music and media sites for Mama
Content management software specialist Modera is to manage the re-design of The Mama Group's portfolio of websites.
Founded in 2002, The Mama Group is a public company focused on music and media businesses and has tasked Modera for the development and management of 16 of its websites.
The first of the sites released is one of the UK's widest distributed music magazines, The Fly, which includes gig guides, ticket and merchandise sales through The Fly Shop.
The online magazine now enjoys web 2.0 functionality such as blogs, downloads, podcasts and video content.
The new site supports a comprehensive multimedia experience for music fans on both a regional and national level, allowing them to become more intimately connected with the publication.
Adrian Coultas Pitman, managing director of the media and digital division at The Mama Group, commented: "Modera wes chosen to complete an ambitious project for us because of their experience of integrating web services with a number of other sites.
"All of the Mama Group sites and intranet will be based on the Modera platform so that our content management will be unified for all editorial and internal staff.
"In using Modera's CMS products we can take advantage of the built-in tools like workflow, content versioning and content synchronisation across all of the groups' sites".
Siim Vips, CEO at Modera, explained: "In such a competitive and fragmented media environment, journalists need to write and manage stories as easily as possible.
"Modera's services enable The Mama Group to maximise the benefits of collaborating internally to produce content more effectively.
"The CMS maximises how the group's publishing connects with it audiences, and now allows them to communicate with each other more efficiently in this socially driven digital space".
Mama Group project is managed in co-operation with Modera's UK partner focusing on the entertainment and music sector, Million Media.
