Ministry of Sound has announced that its pre-roll advertising is achieving clickthrough rates over 50 times higher than the 0.18 per cent industry average for traditional online ad formats.

The short video clips from household brands are achieving unprecedented clickthroughs of between 5 and 9 per cent Through its partnership with online video solutions company, The Web TV Enterprise, Ministry of Sound has added pre-roll advertisements to its extensive range of video content on Ministryofsound.com/tv, since April 2007

The video content, which includes dance music videos as well as hundreds of features, events, interviews and Ibiza content, is achieving over 500,000 views a month by Ministry's highly desirable, music-loving, youth audience of 18-35 year olds.

"We have run a number of extremely successful pre-roll advertising campaigns for a string of major brands including, Coca Cola and Five TV, who are drawn to the vast youth community that Ministry attracts," said Jim Haysom, Head of Digital Sales, Ministry of Sound.

"When the creative and the advertiser are a perfect fit to our website audience, the level of interaction can smash clickthroughs for banner advertising and deliver truly staggering results".

Ministry of Sound has also partnered with Ad Infuse, a leading provider of personalised mobile advertising and video streaming solutions, to offer pre-roll advertising on its vodcasts.

The video content, which has recently been made available to iPod users via Apple's iTunes site is already seeing over 200,000 downloads a month, making it very attractive to potential advertisers.

"Our partnerships with The Web TV Enterprise and Ad Infuse we can offer advertisers a wide reach for pre-rolls across our online TV channel and growing number of vodcasts.

"Our next big campaign will be for Rush Hour 3 through Mediacom, which will be executed via these new platforms as well as display advertising," concluded Haysom.

Ministry of Sound opened as a club in London in 1991 and has since established a cult following among dance music lovers worldwide.

The club's phenomenal success has been built on the very high quality of its music programming and promotion, its world-renowned custom-built sound system and the distinctive Ministry of Sound logo.
