Dave Gorman launches his own award at
MCCA
Comedian Dave Gorman will be taking centre stage again this year in front of some the country's leading creative agencies to host the MCCA Best Awards 2008 on 4 March at the Brewery, London.
Following his show-stopping performance at last year's Marketing Communications Consultants Association's (MCCA) Best Awards, comedian Dave Gorman will be taking centre stage again this year In keeping with last year's performance, which saw Gorman analysing agency brands via their websites, he has released a brief to creative agencies for a campaign to launch a new perfume, as a way of understanding creative pitching from a client perspective
During part of the Best Awards evening entertainment, Gorman will pick out a selection of responses and after analysis, will select a winner of the unique 'Dave Gorman Best Award'.
Gorman is also looking for devastating 'nearly ran' ideas, past or present, for his Best Awards presentation.
If you have generated ideas from creative brainstorming sessions for clients that could not run, perhaps because of fear of being sacked, consumer backlash or general poor taste, then he would also like to hear from you.
You might even receive your own Dave Gorman Best Award.
Agencies can download the Dave Gorman Brief from the MCCA website under the Best Awards 2008, and pitches must be submitted no later than 15 February.
Entries for the Best Nearly Ran category should be submitted in PowerPoint format to jan.johnston@mcca.org.uk, also by 15 February 2008.

Through the MCCA search and selection service, one of the association's objectives is to assist clients in finding the right agency and to promote their member agencies collectively.
Once a client has chosen the right agency the MCCA is on hand again to ensure that ideas are protected from the very start with their Pitch Protection Service.
