industry
The Licensing Source Book Europe announces the official launch of The Licensing Awards 2008 and final category line-up - set to be the biggest year yet.
The search is now on to find the best retailers, licensed products and licensed properties of the last year culminating in a prestigious awards ceremony on Wednesday 17 September 2008 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel The Licensing Source Book, part of Max Publishing, owns and organises The Licensing Awards, annual awards that celebrate the licensing industry's achievements across the full licensing spectrum.

Entry forms can be downloaded online and all retailers, licensees, licensors, and suppliers are invited to submit their nominations and votes now before the first closing date on 15 May 2008.
An extensive judging panel of leading retail experts will assess each product entry and decide the winner of each product category.
Finalists and winners in the retail award categories will be arrived at through a process of nominations from the industry followed by rigorous validation by a panel of industry experts.
The property award categories will be decided through nomination and validation by another panel of industry experts.
The Honorary Achievement award, awarded to someone who has contributed greatly to the industry will be decided as a result of nominations received.
All finalists will be announced by 1 July 2008 and will appear in the Brand and Sport Licensing Source Book 2008 and the Autumn 2008 edition of The Licensing Source Book.
The winners however will remain a closely guarded secret until the Awards event in September.
This lavish black-tie do, attended by almost 1,000 people, will be a night to remember for the schmoozing, the gourmet food, the superb entertainment line-up, the dancing, the biggest goodie bag - and the fact the whole industry will be together.
