Maconomy launches X1 ERP solution
Maconomy has launched X1, its newest ERP software solution for professional services organisations (PSOs).
The product will make it easier to register and control project-related work and billing.
X1 has been developed, improved and adjusted for PSOs based on feedback from more than 400 of Maconomy's customers.
During the product's development, Maconomy has received feedback from a range of different companies within the PSO segment.
Accounting firms, engineers, advertisers and other agencies have been part of the process, and project managers, heads of customer services and chief finance officers have been asked for their opinions about the product.
In conjunction with the launch of X1, Maconomy is also announcing new versions of its add-on products Maconomy People Planner and Maconomy Analytix.
While People Planner supplies project managers and resource planners with the tools to co-ordinate and plan employees' time across the entire organisation with full visibility, Analytix gives the finance department access to advanced reporting that show a categorised snapshot of various key performance indicators - for example, an overview of project profitability or the company pipeline.
The feedback from Maconomy's customers shows a growing need to plan and register project-related work, and control resources and curb costs more efficiently.
Maconomy has incorporated more than 250 customer suggestions in X1 to create an improved user experience.
The result is a new product with more than double the usage improvements compared to previous launches.
On top of gathering knowledge and feedback from PSO customers, Maconomy has also let four selected companies use a complete beta version of X1 since the end of 2008 to learn what functionalities and parameters needed to be optimised and updated.
Concurrently with the beta test, Maconomy has successfully integrated the beta customers' ideas and suggestions.
Almost 90 per cent of the suggestions generated by the beta test have been incorporated into the final version of X1.
