Creative retail marketing agency Live and Breathe has delivered a range of eye-catching pink in-store support materials for Walk the Walk official sportswear sponsor New Balance.

The range tells consumers how they can put their best feet forward for the breast cancer charity using materials including in-store A4 posters, postcards, strut cards, shelf highlighters and shoe-clips urging shoppers to "get the shoes, walk the walk and make a difference" GBP2.50 will be donated to the charity from the sale of each pair of New Balance trainers

The pick-up postcards offer advice on how to perfect the power-walking technique.

Nick Gray, Live and Breathe MD, said: "Walk the Walk is an inspirational charity and our remit was to communicate the brand's commitment to the cause through a range of truly stand-out materials; these not only show how shoppers can help support the charity but also deliver added value for those hoping to take part in the many Walk the Walk challenges held each year, by offering tips on how to improve your walking technique".

Stuart Howarth, New Balance UK and Ireland Marketing Manager, commented: "New Balance is proud to be an official sponsor of such a worthwhile cause and this campaign really talks the talk, telling shoppers how they can get involved.

"The charity has gone from strength to strength, which is reflected in this new package of eye-catching collateral".

The campaign goes live in December.

Walk the Walk came into being 10 years ago when just 13 women power walked The New York Marathon in their bras to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.

What started out as a once only fundraising event has blossomed into a thriving charity raising to date in excess of GBP35 million for breast cancer research and cancer care.

Its annual fundraising challenges included include the Great North Run the New York Marathon as well as the famous Moon Walk and Sun Walk events which take place around the country and internationally.
