Now LazyTown offers Extra
Licensing.biz reports that popular children's property LazyTown is launching new episodes and a changed format.
LazyTown Entertainment is producing 26 episodes in a brand new magazine format style show called LazyTown Extra.
Each themed episode will be between 11 and 14 minutes in duration - seven minutes of each show being produced by LazyTown Entertainment and the remainder localised in key markets in co-production agreements with broadcast partners.
Still featuring all of the LazyTown characters, the new show features locally produced content in each episode.
Cbeebies is co-producing an English-speaking version, with filming currently taking place around the UK.
Once available it is expected to air in several other English-speaking markets and on the Cbeebies channel globally.
LazyTown is also in talks with eight other territories for potential co-production partnerships.
"We are very excited about this new format for LazyTown and delighted by the positive reaction from our broadcast partners," said Magnus Scheving, CEO and creator of LazyTown.
"This takes the LazyTown brand in a new direction opening up even more opportunities".
