Samantha Loveday at Licensing.biz reports that strong sales and new licensing deals follow the opening of LazyTown's European office earlier this year.

The European sales office has only been open since January, but already LazyTown is reaping the benefits, logging a slew of new sales and licensing deals across the territory In Austria, Germany and Switzerland, LazyTown has secured licences with SIGG Switzerland, Trade Markk Collections, Euromic and, across multi-territories, a deal with Original Buff headwear

In the UK and Ireland, meanwhile, licences are now in place with William Lamb Footwear for all children's footwear and with Zap for soft furnishings.

Spanish sales activity includes a DVD and publishing deal with Radiotelevision Espanola, plus a magazine and stickers licence with Panini Espana.

"We are very pleased with the way the strategy for LazyTown in Europe has panned out over the last few months since the launch of the division," said Katie Foster, director of brand and licensing Europe.

"The range of businesses which have embraced the LazyTown movement is considerable, and we will continue to seek out the best partners and licence opportunities for the brand across Europe".
