Next month's Kidscreen Summit in New York has signed up big name expert speakers from the licensing industry, according to Licensing.biz.

A number of high-calibre speakers have been unveiled for next month's KidScreen Summit in New York.

Josh Selig, president of Little Airplane Productions, will weigh up the pros and cons of putting creative vision first when it comes to making TV for pre-schoolers; Gary Knell, president of Sesame Workshop, will share insights on measures the industry can take to combat the health issue; Dr Warren Buckleitner will debunk myths about how kids use interactive toys and gadgets; and Michael Carrington, the controller of Cbeebies, is planning to explore the impact that research and a deeper knowledge of pre-school culture had on shaping the recent makeover of the channel.

In addition, the conference programme is also packed with panels and case studies from some of the most experienced players in the business.

"We are really excited by the fantastic line-up of speakers for this year's event," said Jocelyn Christie, director of events at KidScreen.

"We have no doubt that the sessions will be lively, informational and fun - offering tremendous insight for delegates into the intricate workings of the kids entertainment industry".
