BBC prepares Christmas kids' DVD blitz

Big-name licences such as Charlie and Lola, LazyTown, Doctor Who and Teletubbies will be seeing some DVD action in the run-up to Christmas.

BBC Worldwide is lining up a plethora of children's DVD titles to tempt the Christmas buying market The drive will kick off with the release of Raven: The Warrior's Collection (GBP15.99) on 22 October

Raven is a BAFTA award-winning fantasy game show, and this double disc set includes the final week of challenges in series six and an interactive DVD game.

LazyTown returns to DVD with Go, Go LazyTown (GBP12.99) on 29 October.

Five episodes are included - Rockin' Robbie, Remote Control, LazyTown's Greatest Hits, Little Sportacus and Dancing Duel.

The Sarah Jane Adventures - The Invasion of The Bane (GBP12.99) also releases on 29 October.

It includes the first ever episode of the Doctor Who spin-off.

The second DVD from pre-school hit show In The Night Garden, Hello Igglepiggle (GBP12.99), will be released on 5 November.

It features five episodes, plus audio commentary, Nap Time mode and Goodnight Everyone, where viewers can see the characters saying goodnight.

Exclusive CBBC Totally Doctor Who animation The Infinite Quest (GBP12.99) also arrives on 5 November.

It is a feature length compilation of the 13 episodes from the series and features the voices of Doctor Who stars David Tennant as the Doctor and Freema Agyeman as his companion Martha.

Finally, 12 November will see the release of Charlie and Lola Eight (GBP12.99), which includes seven episodes and a number of extras; Cbeebies: The Ultimate Christmas Collection (GBP12.99), which brings together a number of pre-school characters; and Teletubbies: Happy Christmas (GBP12.99), which includes two special festive episodes.
