Landround, provider of short and long term travel, leisure and lifestyle promotions since 1992, has acquired Fixed Fee Plus.

The acquisition allows Landround to combine its fulfilment, handling and winner management resources with the experience and knowledge of the newly appointed management team in operating fixed-fee promotions Fixed Fee Plus will enable clients to maximise their marketing budgets by offering the security of running a promotion for a one-off fixed fee, regardless of the level of redemption

From sourcing to fulfilment, whatever the promotion, Fixed Fee Plus will offer clients a complete solution.

An experienced management team has been appointed to operate Fixed Fee Plus.

Bob Kotecha, formerly of Fotorama, will take over the day-to-day running of Fixed Fee Plus as Managing Director, and Paul Quinn, promoted internally from Discover Promotions, operated by Landround, will become Head of Sales.

Gary Bottrill, also formerly of Fotorama, will provide additional consulting services.

Alan Williamson, former Chief Executive and shareholder of Fotorama, and non-Executive Director of Landround, will also provide guidance.

The management team combines a wealth of experience in running large-scale promotions across a range of leading brands, including: McVities, T-Mobile, Coca-Cola, Unilever and Associated Newspapers.

Colin Gibson, Chief Executive of Landround, commented: "The acquisition of Fixed Fee Plus and the recruitment of Bob Kotecha to head this new business represent significant steps forward for Landround.

"With the new management team's depth of experience in operating fixed-fee promotions and the existing strengths and reputation of Landround, we expect to create an important player in the fixed fee market; one that will open up a range of exciting possibilities for both new and existing customers that go beyond our traditional travel, leisure and lifestyle promotions".

Kotecha commented: "I have joined Landround because it gives me the opportunity to utilise my extensive promotional management experience combined with Landround's infrastructure, reputation and integrity built over the last 15 years to provide a fully integrated fixed-fee product to clients who require an end-to-end solution for their promotions".

Fixed fee is a method by which the client can limit their promotional exposure by a third party managing the risk.

In its simplest form it is over-redemptions insurance, where the client pays a premium to underwrite redemptions over a certain percentage, to the integrated solution where the client allows the third party to handle fulfilment and risk manage the promotion.

Our management team gets involved at the earliest stages with a client to enable them to structure a promotion to meet their objectives and then provide a full risk managed service including: advice and set up of promotional underwriting (if necessary); sourcing and supply of project premiums (if applicable); contract negotiation; set-up and maintenance of database; set-up and maintenance of application mechanisms; all related warehousing; all handling and fulfilment aspects; regular reporting procedures (weekly, monthly, as required); full computer data capture and data mining where requested; full customer service back-up.
