Knifedge merges with Bradburn TV

A Knifedge Creative Network product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Feb 22, 2007

Knifedge, the creative network of designers, film-makers and music specialists, has merged with independent film production outfit Bradburn TV.

London-based Knifedge aims to bridge the gap between independent creative specialists and a full-service, integrated design and production agency.

Its core network exceeds 50 experts in everything from broadcast design and branding, projection, lighting and graphic design to film and video production, animation, music and sound design, tour production and musician contracting.

Among Knifedge's recent projects has been its ground-breaking projections for "Sunday in the Park with George", where creative director Timothy Bird (ex-design director for BBC News 24, BBC Three and BBC Children's promotions) brought his acclaimed broadcast design skills into the theatre for the first time.

The musical subsequently won Evening Standard and Critics Choice Theatre Awards for Best Design, and has now been nominated for six prestigious Laurence Olivier Awards 2007, including Best Set Design (to be announced on 18th February 2007).

Bradburn TV is run by independent film-maker Tim Bradburn, who combines creative production with an in-depth understanding and experience of marketing communications.

Bradburn specialises in promotional films and event reportage for brands such as Diageo, Unilever and PandG as well as factual and drama programming for public sector, healthcare and CSR campaigns.

Timothy Bird, creative director of Knifedge, comments: "We're delighted to welcome Bradburn TV to the Knifedge Creative Network, adding yet another dimension to our creative offering through experience in brand focused and multi-cultural film-making.

It also opens up a new world of creative possibilities for clients when these skills are cross-fertilized with our expertise in fields such as branding, theatre, animation, design and music." Tim Bradburn, managing director of Bradburn TV, comments: "I've always admired the way Knifedge sets out to push the creative boundaries, for example bringing broadcast design skills into live theatrical environments.

Similarly, I see great potential for bringing different film-making skills into the corporate world - delivering powerful new communication solutions across a range of broadcast, web, mobile and live platforms.".
