Worldcom PR Group adds five new shops
The Worldcom Public Relations Group, the world's leading network of independently owned public relations firms, has expanded to include five new agencies in the EMEA region.
The new agencies are: Gellis Communications (Brussels), Coxit Public Relations (Oslo), LF Channel (Barcelona), Catevo Group (Dubai) and Majlis PR and Communications (Dubai) The five new agencies joined the Worldcom EMEA group at the recent regional conference in Palma, Majorca
The conference saw the launch of Worldcom's 'buddy scheme' where experienced members of the network 'mentor' new partners, easing their introduction into the network and helping them achieve the stringent Worldcom quality standards.
"This autumn's conference was a spectacular success, especially with the introduction of our new 'buddy system' to support agencies joining the network," commented Diego Biasi, chairman of Worldcom PR Group's EMEA board.
"Our five new members will really benefit from the experience and advice of their mentors.

Gellis, founded in 1998, is a full-service strategic communications consultancy offering communications management and advocacy services.
Gellis focuses on five core service areas: Public Affairs/Lobbying; Campaigning (stakeholder and outreach); Content Development (corporate, public policy); Training (media, spokesperson, advocacy, presentation, strategic communications, crisis); and Evaluation (ex-ante and ex-post evaluations of communications programmes and campaigns).
Gellis represents the interests of companies, trade associations, public associations, NGOs and governments.
Its clients include several Directorates General of the European Commission (DG Environment, DG Employment and Social Affairs); the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound); the Slovenian Business and Research Association (SBRA); the European Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI); the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE); the European Railway Agency (ERA); and the European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR).
With the addition of Coxit Public Relations to the EMEA group, Worldcom partners now cover the whole of Scandinavia.
Coxit PR was established in February 2005 and is the 12th largest PR agency in Norway.
Alongside PR and communications, its services also include publishing and design.
The agency specialises in the consumer, business-to-business, technology and IT sectors.
Coxit's clients include Visma, PSI Group, Otrum, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Ernst and Young.
Established in 1996, LF Channel is a marketing and PR agency specialising in the IT market.
It has a global focus as well as the knowledge and experience to tailor marketing and communication plans to the needs of each individual client.
Current clients include Kaspersky Lab, Verbatim, Wacom, Adaptec, I-mate, Via Technologies, IDC, and Creative, among others.
Catevo Group was founded in Dubai in November 2006 and started operation in January 2007.
Its current clients include Cummins, Konica Minolta, Stellar, Takhayal Entertainment and Al Alam.
Catevo's services cover brand development, crisis communications/issues management, employee relations, management consulting, media relations, public affairs and research in addition to marketing, advertising and creative services.
The company also provides strategic public relations services combined with extensive local expertise to international companies entering the Middle Eastern market.
Majlis PR and Communications is a joint venture with Yucatan, an established Worldcom member agency based in Paris.
Majlis was founded in 2003 and provides global press relations, Arabic and English copywriting, and event management.
Its major clients are in the field of travel and tourism as well as fashion and include Sopexa, Maison de la France, Chantelle/Passionata, Duboats and La Maison d'Hotes.
In the UK Worldcom is represented by Kestrel Communications, Kaizo and Winningtons Financial.
Worldcom PR Group EMEA currently consists of 31 agencies with a strong expertise in consumer goods, food and beverage, healthcare, technology, finance and public affairs.
