Jordan Communications, a specialist B2B marketing and communications agency, has announced that it is launching a trade and contract publishing division.

The Lancashire-based business is set for its first launch in May - ismonthly.com - a portal for the global Information Services industry.

This will be supported by a subscription-based monthly magazine ISM (Information Services Monthly).

The launch is a good fit for Jordan Communications as it specialises in telecoms and technology.

It already has significant experience in the information services sector, having done work for the likes of Call Genie and Infovision.

Besides having recruited an in-house team to manage editorial, design and production, Jordan Communications has recruited Sean Smith as editorial director.

Smith has extensive experience and is well known for his work at the Sport, Metro News and having been assistant editor at the Big Issue in the North.

Jordan has also recruited Susan Campbell as US-based contributing editor - Campbell currently acts as contributing editor for tech site TMC.net.

Commenting on the launch, Julian Jordan, director of Jordan Communications, said: "It's long been our intention to launch a publishing division and ismonthly.com and ISM make that ambition a reality.

"We want to raise the bar and set a standard for trade publications.

"We'll seek to deliver to the industry a compelling first point of reference for market analysis, up-to-the-minute news and thought leadership.
