JBMC creates arresting stand for HP show

JB Marketing and Consultancy used eye-catching graphics and prominent banners for the first ever HP 'concept' stand at Sign UK this year.

Midlands-based company JB Marketing and Consultancy (JBMC) celebrated the success of its latest stand production for HP at the Sign UK Show this year The 'streetwise' themed stand was a concept creation for the large format printer manufacturer by utilising all aspects of its products from printers to materials for every part of its presence at the UK's largest sign show

JBMC wanted to ensure that HP's presence at the show was very prominent; arresting graphics dominated the billboards and signs from the car park into the hall itself, where they had huge banners adorning the reception area and unique and eye-catching graphics covering their stand in the main hall - and everything was printed on the latest HP large format printers and HP large format media to ensure optimum product coverage.

The stand was designed and managed by JBMC, who worked with HP to create the best-possible sales platform for the show; however it was the idea of using all things HP that really made it work.

Some of the graphics for the stand and outdoor banners were printed on the HP Scitex XL1500 and using HP media.

The rest of the graphics were printed by Leeds-based graphic specialists Electronic Print Services, who used the latest Designjet Z-Series and 10000 series large format printers and HP specialty media including scrim banner, coated and uncoated paper, canvas and backlight film, to produce them.

Visitors were treated to an array of superb quality images and sharp text on the various media, which exhibited the HP Designjet and Scitex XL1500 printers' true capabilities.

In addition to that, the stand featured all these large format products which then further displayed their speed and quality in real time.

The graphics found outside the Sign UK and Digital Expo halls, namely the billboards and banners on the walkway from the car park; were again JBMC's design brainchild and were also printed solely using HP products for effect.

Berni Dack, MD of JBMC said: "A bad workman always blames his tools so we made sure we used the best tools and the right people to create a truly outstanding stage where HP could launch and demonstrate their latest products in a setting that visually shouts out exactly 'look what HP can do for your business'.

"The stand was a real team effort with HP teams in Belgium and the UK, alongside our designers and carpenters, working flat out to ensure it was a success.

"As a concept, this stand was a real challenge and now the design has been realised I'm delighted that we were set such a difficult brief - the bar has definitely been raised for next year".
