Iris Experience opens New York office

An iris product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Jan 18, 2008

Leading UK experiential agency iris Experience has moved into North America with its first international office.

Iris Experience will launch with Myspace and Sony Ericsson already signed up as opening clients.

The new office will be headed up by Craig McNary, who joins as Managing Director.

Previously, he served as VP, Executive Producer, at US Concepts, a leading US experiential agency.

He was responsible for leading the strategic development and activation of thousands of events over a five-year period for Nintendo, MySpace and Johnnie Walker, among others.

The first brief from Sony Ericsson will see iris Experience New York launch a series of programmes including "street teams on Segways" for the launch of the new Walkman range of Sony Ericsson phones at tennis tournaments, train stations and college football games.

The office will also launch Sony Ericsson Music Maniacs at the Vegoose music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nico Tuppen at iris Experience commented: "The interest we've had from clients in the States more than warrants the establishment of a standalone iris Experience team; much of the work the London office creates has international elements and this will further drive our ability to deliver cross-continent.

"Iris has had a presence in New York for some time now, and this new opening for iris Experience will reinforce the New York team's aptitude for truly integrated campaigns".
