IDM to work with Oracle on events and Diploma

The Institute of Direct Marketing is working with Oracle, the world's largest enterprise software company, on the Institute's new Diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications.

Oracle will also provide support for four of the Institute's most respected and influential events: the Annual IDM Symposium, the IDM Annual Lunch, IDM Annual Lecture and popular Digital Marketing Conference.

Oracle is also planning to provide content and speakers for IDM training courses and qualifications programmes on its areas of marketing specialism and expertise.

IDM Deputy Managing Director Neil Morris said: "Oracle has an unrivalled track record in building its own business - and its clients' businesses - on the foundations of technological innovation, intimate knowledge of its customers' challenges and successes, and some of the best technical minds in the world.

The IDM/Oracle relationship was cemented after the information company sponsored the successful 2007 IDM Annual Symposium, which, in the Institute's 20th anniversary year, looked to the future of the marketing profession.
