Interalia has revealed that Henley Management College has installed the XMU+ announcement and call processing system to help the residential college manage calls.

Ensuring a quick response to callers from around the world is a top priority for Henley Management College, and to guarantee that no caller is left waiting for the phone to be answered the college has installed the XMU+ system.

With eight lines into the switchboard and several hundred calls a day, Henley Management College needed a call processing system that was compatible with its telephone system and would be able to step in to answer calls if the operator was busy.

The Interalia XMU+ now manages calls - if they are not answered after four rings - by either giving a message-on-hold announcement or directing calls to extensions.

If extensions are busy, the XMU+ is able to provide music and messaging on hold.

Alan Brand, director of hotel and estate services, said: 'We use the Interalia XMU+ auto attendant to provide the caller with a response on the occasions when our telephonist is unable to answer the call personally.

'Calling a number and hearing a continuous ringing tone does not give a very professional impression.

'The XMU+ ensures that all calls are answered quickly and efficiently,' Brand added.

The Interalia XMU+ purchased by Henley Management College is compatible with all major telephone systems and is easy to install and operate.

As a standalone system it fills the gap between simple passive announcer and voice mail or IVR systems delivering call processing, Audiotext and music/messaging-on-hold.

Interalia said the XMU+ enables companies to create a time-and-date stamp that automatically activates messages for holidays and prescheduled events up to one year in advance.

The system can in addition play a specific message during peak hours to alert callers of extended wait times or indicate when their call will be answered.

The XMU+ offers between one to 63 port systems and from two minutes' to two hours' recording time.
