Interalia, designer and manufacturer of call-processing and voice-announcement systems, has launched a second version of its iProMOH advanced promotional on-hold music/message announcement system.

The iProMOH2 has an additional port and is thereby able to provide two services in one It is a digital announcer that can entertain and inform on-hold callers and also an in-store public address messaging device for broadcasting music or messages to store patrons, via an existing PA System

As an on-hold announcement system, the iProMOH can play messages or music to callers that are put on hold.

It can entertain callers and provide information on new products, advertising and frequently asked questions.

With the extra port, the iProMOH turns into an in-store public address messaging facility and powerful marketing tool by playing background music for store patrons via a PA System, introducing campaigns, reinforcing company advertising and answering frequently asked questions.

The addition of a scheduler enables shops, department stores and shopping centres to pre-record, schedule and automatically play standard announcements such as "the store will be closing in 15 minutes".

This scheduler facility, available in the iCAS software, will function for both the single and two-port iProMOHs to play different music and messaging at any time of the day, and has the ability for timed announcements to interrupt any pre-programmed messaging.

David Konopinski, Business Development Manager for Interalia Communications, said: "We are already receiving very positive feedback from our Channel partners who are telling us that this is just what is required by the retail sector".

The unique iProMOH system uses pull-technology to request downloads from the host web-server when it needs updating.

This server can be available on the internal LAN or internet.

To allow connection past firewalls, the iProMOH will connect an outbound connection (HTTP) to the iCAS software application at configured intervals.

Once contact has been established the iProMOH will uniquely identify itself to the software and download any productions that are available for that unit.

On-hold companies or marketing departments can update the units at any time to any location in the world.

Messages can be downloaded to the iProMOH weeks or months in advance, and then automatically played out.

As updates are carried out remotely, technical staff are not required at the location nor does it rely on a third party to insert a CD or tape.

The iProMOH is available as a one or two-channel unit with up to three hours of message storage.

The two-channel version can play an independent second message, controlled by its own play list.

This can be used, for example, to play an office on-hold production from one channel and messages to a call centre ACD queue from the second channel.

The iCAS management software can be hosted on any Windows 2000 or XP workstation to act as a server.

One host can easily update the same message(s) into one, or any number of iProMOH units at the same time.

Unlike some competitors, Interalia offers On-Hold companies a flexible choice of hosting the service on its own server, securely accessible over the internet, or hosting the software themselves.

On-hold companies need only one copy to manage all of their customers.

The iProMOH is an affordable and intelligent solution that solves all the typical problems associated with promotional on-hold music and message announcement systems.

Available from Interalia distributors, the iProMOH is backed by a company renowned for its quality, reliability and outstanding support.

It will provide a cost-effective solution to any industry wishing to give its clientele the very best in customer service.
