ExpressCard paves way for instant smart
cards
MagTek, specialist in electronic transaction technology, has linked with card solutions company ID Data to bring branch-based, instant issuance of custom-printed Chip and PIN cards to Europe.
In direct response to the growing need for new and replacement cards to be issued in extremely tight timeframes, this new technology gives banking customers the opportunity to simply walk into their nearest branch to collect their new card, select their own PIN and even upload their own photograph onto the face of the card This new technology has been set up to provide secure, reliable and fast branch-based issuance which conforms to all the new Visa and MasterCard rules
