Icon develops signage solution for business park

An Icon Display product story

Icon has completed the design and installation of signage for Watchmoor Business Park in Camberley, Surrey.

Working on behalf of Siren, Icon's panels replaced the existing installation that was, according to the company, outdated and not clearly visible from the main roads that lead to the site.

One of the challenges facing Icon was the provision of signage for a double-faced V-shaped, low level wall.

The client's initial thoughts were that the entire wall would need to be demolished and rebuilt in order to utilise the new designs.

However after a site survey, Icon suggested building a steel framework that could be lifted over the top of the V-shaped wall and then secured to the walls.

Once the framework was installed it was clad in white dibond panels, measuring 2.2m (w) x 1.7m (h), and finished with a vinyl livery face to match the rest of the park's signage.

This framework-based solution was then applied to the single-faced plinths around the site and all the new installations were then landscaped to ensure that they blended into the business park.

The flexibility of Icon's signage has already been tested as at least one tenant has already had a change of logo since the installation was completed.

The company anticipates that the new signage system should have a life span of between five and 10 years.
